Need some help fixing a problem with GIMP!

If anyone can help me then I will be very grateful!

I’m using the newest version of GIMP (art program if you don’t know) and I already lineworked the drawing I am working on. Well when I went to select the color and paint with it, it always seems to paint white or gray instead of the yellow I wanted. And no matter what I try (even closing out of the program) it won’t work.

So can anyone give me some ideas of what the problem is?

billythebrime: Rainbow Brite. In typical neon fashion, these are a lot brighter in person than in the pictures. For the zig zags, I used a pair of my Mom’s scrapbook scissors with a zig zag blade. It helps to use blue painters tape when using those kinds of scissors because they are thicker and won’t tear when you’re trying to cut a thin piece. Colors used: Sinful Colors- Snow Me White, Summer Peach, Neon Melon, Dream On, Pink Color Club- Raspberry Rush, The Lime Starts Here Icing- Hypnotized L.A. Colors Color Craze- Circuits China Glaze- Fairy Dust
